You may heard the phrase “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” a thousand time. What’s spiritual has to do with it? You can’t neglect the important of planning, but you can’t also discount the spiritual aspect of it. Without spiritual support, you will quit when the going get tough. You develop a plan to achieve your goal and work the plan with due diligence. However it did not turn out the way you wanted. How will you feel? If you put success solely on effort; you are going to feel frustrated and disempowered? The only way to save your self from those feeling is to include spirituality in the equation.

Remember, you are not in control of the outcome of your effort. Accept this fact as a process for spiritual development and happiness. Colonel Sanders tried more than a thousand times to get restaurant owners to try his
chicken recipe but did not succeed. Did he stop? No, because spiritually he knew that his turn for success will come.

To achieve success, put your idea into action; develop a proper plan, work your plan and leave the outcome to God. This way, you develop your spiritual self and practice living a spiritual life. You are creating the space for success to come to you. If the outcome is not what you desired, accept that it is God’s will. When you submit to God’s will, your spiritual self will accept whatever result. You will not feel frustrated, disempowered and angry with your self.

Take Mother Teresa as an example, she devoted her life to serve the poorest of the poor. The world viewed her cause as utterly hopeless, some world leaders suggested giving up. She stays committed to her commitment until the last day. Her spiritual duty was to give the commitment; it is up to God to decide on the outcome.
