Every one, consciously or unconsciously, want to live a spiritual life. Nothing will give us true happiness except to fulfill our spiritual need, which is to live a spiritual life. You might have heard the cliché “Game of Life” and have decided not to get involve in the game. Like it or not, you are already in the game. If you decided not to play, the life will play you and you’ll not get spiritual enlightenment.
In a game, there is a winner and there is a loser. To be a winner in the game of life, we need to play it the spiritual way. In a spiritual game of life, every one is a winner if he/she chooses to plays.
To win the game, you need to score goal or point and it must be big enough. What is your goal in life? To secure a good job, be a millionaire, own luxury home, car or boat, etc? If you have achieved these goals, do you honestly think that you’ll achieve true happiness? Majority of wealthy people
may look happy, but most of them are spiritually unhappy. This does not mean that you don’t have to strive for material wealth, but do not make it as your ultimate goal. If you do, chances are you’ll never be spiritually happy.
For a more sustainable happiness, which you can achieve anytime in your life, choose to make a difference to others. Like what Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and Martin Luther King did. They might have no material wealth, but they have sustainable happiness. Making a difference to others can be your medium term goal. For a true happiness and spiritual enlightenment, make Heaven as your ultimate goal. You’ll have true happiness and spiritual enlightenment when everything that you do, you do it for God, not for His sake but for your sake. Why for your sake? It is because whatever you do or not do for God, it will not have any effect on His sovereignty. However if you have God’s blessing, you’ll have a true happiness and spiritual enlightenment in your life.
