I was thinking how my life will be if I was given a timer to show the remaining time of my existence on earth. How will I lead my life? Will it be the same or a different one?
This is what I probably do. I’ll use up most of my time to pursue material wealth and enjoy life. I’ll leave a small portion of time toward the end of my life solely for salvation and hope that God will reward me Heaven after my death. Why I come up with this idea? I’m clear that the reason I came up with this plan was I put the meaning that living life in the path of God is not enjoyable, only material wealth can bring enjoyment. Nevertheless, I wanted to go to Heaven after my death.
Then it came to my mind that, “Is it Paradise that cheap? Am
I worthy enough to get into Heaven? Will my contributions in so little suffice for me to appease God?” Later I remembered what my teacher has said, “God will reward Paradise to the souls who constantly remembering Him and fearing Him; or to the human being who always do good, seek His forgiveness when he/she committed any sin and vow never to repeat the same sin again.”
The question is how much good deed is good enough? Is it true that living in the path of God is not enjoyable? Should I wait until the last moment of my life to ask forgiveness from God?
Since I do not know when my time will be up, I think it is time for me to evaluate myself and start making a different to the world and to humanity, and also start asking forgiveness from God.
May God Bless Us.
